Mr. Harris focuses on providing legal guidance to high net-worth individuals and companies from all over the world with their US interests, including
with business start-ups, business expansions, business purchases, company formations and structuring, contracts, estate plans (wills and trusts),
estate administration (probate and trusts), real estate exchanges and closings, real estate law, and dispute resolution.
Chad is originally from New York City, and has lived in the San Diego area for more than thirty years. Mr. Harris graduated with a BA in advertising
and marketing from Pepperdine University in Malibu and received his law degree with honors from Santa Clara University School of Law where he
specialized in Land Use and Real Property law. After being inducted into the State Bar, Mr. Harris began his career with a boutique land use and real
estate law firm in San Jose, CA, then moved into senior executive positions at tow of the largest public homebuilders in the U.S. where he spent over
a decade in charge of land acquisitions, government entitlements, land development, management and dispositions. Chad had a direct hand in the
negotiation of complex joint ventures, obtaining governmental approvals on highly contested developments, design and construction of major public and
private infrastructure, master plans, neighborhoods, single family homes, commercial, mixed use, condominiums, and condominium conversions with
values in the billions of dollars.
Mr. Harris acts in a general counsel role for many of his business clients and also acts as a personal advisor for individual investors and
entrepreneurs and their families.
He regularly assists clients with simple and complex deals, multi-million dollar business and real estate transactions and investments, including
advising on product expansions, real estate purchases ranging from high-end luxury residential to commercial properties, bars and nightclubs, as
well as real estate development, such as for condominium, assisted living facilities, hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers. He also owns and/or
manages a large portfolio of industrial, commercial and residential real estate holdings in various states and other real estate-related and internet
marketing businesses.
His clientele includes business entrepreneurs, real estate investors, real estate developers, real estate brokers, lenders, banks, condominium
associations, skin care and cosmetic manufacturers, restaurants and restauranteurs, medical product distributors, apparel manufacturers and distributors,
e-commerce companies, internet companies, financial industry and biotechnology companies, among others.
